The Range
—A Solitudinous Diptych
The Range - A Solitudinous Diptych

Thanks to our good friend That’s Deck for the heads up on this one. Free releases on bandcamp are at best, hit or miss. Mostly miss. But in the case of The Range, we were pleasantly surprised to discover, dude cultivates a mean banger. The 23 year old James Hinton morphs and distorts some fanciful 2-step jives in attempts to create a massive albeit accessible sound. We’re here to say, mission accomplished Jamie. By deconstructing the palpable Keyshia slow bump “Love,” The Range finds solace in the overtly sensual while remaining conceptual albeit oddly pop conscious. Snag his debut, ‘The Big Dip’ at Astro Nautico’s bandcamp and get lost in it. We already have.
