—The World Is Quiet
Beacon - The World Is Quite

The ever apparent trend of increased tribalism developing in the bass music scene is something that should be noted, or in the very least highlighted. Over the past few months a sense of rhythmic tambour which seems to relate closely with that of clannish drums has begun to emerge. This observation, to some, may be a tad off-putting but for us (the staff of LC) we couldn’t be more behind the trending nascent paradigm. And now to remind us of the trend is a little something from Four40 wunderkind Beacon. Minimal in its execution, Beacon’s “The World Is Quite” ushers us in with a uniform drum pattern that quickly shifts into revelry reminiscent of both early Detroit house and smooth tribalist call and response percussion. Download Beacon’s “The World Is Quite” on Four40’s Soundcloud and make sure to watch out for his EP dropping soon.
