xxyyxx - Like This

xxyyxx serves up a rather gloomy track entitled, “Like This” - a rework of James Blake’s, “Why Don’t You Call Me.” Understandably, not all our readers hail from the Northwest (more specifically, Seattle) but todays weather parallels this tracks mood perfectly. The veiled piano flows beautifully with the hip-hop acclimated percussion, and is complimented just so with the pitch-shifted, moody vocals of Blake. The song pushes the listener into a mindset of thinking retrospectively - a talent exuded by the mysterious producer on many of his tracks. Download this for free while you still can and stream more his work via Soundcloud.
