Twin Empire & Bruised Skies - Without You

Most underground collaborations tend to result in a whole lot of meh. That being said, Twin Empire and Bruised Skies seem to be the exception to the rule. Meditative and sobering, the two’s collaborative offering, “Without You,” glimmers with freckled vocal samples and blistering bass constructions. A particular segment, beginning around 3:44 is frankly perfection. Honest, rough, and oozing with the classic bedroom aesthetic we would expect from two of our favorite young producers, “Without You” is a beautiful reminder that regret expressed in any form is a powerful emotion.
