Spirit Sisters - March, 2012

In all respectful yet nonetheless true sincerity, not many artists can create a cohesive track, much less a complete thought under the two minute mark but Ann Arbor by way of Providence based Spirit Sisters manage to collapse this particular stigma with the short albeit especially sweet “March, 2012.” A strange though poignant homage to Smashmouth’s 90’s ‘shameber’ classic “All Star,” “March, 2012” is guided by Disney-esque vocal cuts and chopped up, bubbly hip hop beats. Obvious comparisons aside, this is a definitive Spirit Sisters track and when his sound resonates at frequencies this hauntingly beautiful, we’re glad to see that this young gent is in fact coming into his own.
