Kelpe - Bags Of Time

Every once and a while it’s necessary to get a tad silly stupid. And in these rare cases I’ve always found myself turning to the experimentally burdened sounds of Svetlana Industries gurgled wunderkind, Kelpe. The London native’s newest offering, “Bags Of Time” staggers along the same hip-hop influenced production niceties as his former material yet, with a little help from Kelpe’s live drummer Chris Walmsley, “Bags Of Time” transcends the genre and manages to create a claustrophobic albeit cognizant jungle rhythm. Taken at face value, “Bags Of Time” is a beat track but glance deeper into the synthetic discords of Kelpe’s pitch perfect compositions and we find that this is in fact and undeniably calculated choon.
